III. Lunar Operations & Settlement (LOS)

Mandate: Identify, extract, and process lunar resources (e.g., water ice, helium-3, regolith for construction materials).

Sub-Task Forces:

• - Resource Prospecting & Mapping Unit: Conducts geological surveys and utilizes remote sensing to identify viable resource deposits.

• - Extraction & Processing Technology Team: Develops and deploys mining equipment (e.g., excavators, ISRU reactors) and processing plants for lunar resources.

• - Logistics & Material Handling Group: Manages the transport and storage of raw materials and processed products on the lunar surface.

• - Helium-3 Extraction & Energy Conversion Unit: Specializes in the collection and processing of Helium-3.

Mandate: Design, construct, and maintain permanent human habitats and supporting infrastructure on the Moon (e.g., Titania Lunar Colony).

Sub-Task Forces:

• - Architectural Design & Planning Unit: Designs lunar habitats, settlements, and associated structures, considering environmental factors and human needs.

• - Construction & Robotics Team: Develops autonomous construction robots, 3D printing technologies, and methodologies for building on the lunar surface using in-situ resources.

• - Environmental Protection & Radiation Shielding Group: Focuses on designing habitats that protect against radiation, micrometeoroids, and extreme temperatures.

• - Life Support & Closed-Loop Systems Unit (Lunar Specific): Adapts and implements life support systems optimized for lunar environments, including potential bioregenerative systems.

Mandate: Plan, execute, and manage all surface operations on the Moon, including transportation, power distribution, and scientific exploration.

Sub-Task Forces:

• - Surface Mobility & Robotics Unit: Develops and operates lunar rovers, lunar trucks, automated cargo transport systems, and robotic explorers.

• - Power Generation & Distribution Team: Establishes and maintains lunar power grids, utilizing solar, nuclear, or other energy sources.

• - Communication & Navigation Network Group (Lunar Specific): Develops and maintains reliable communication and navigation infrastructure on the Moon.

• - Scientific & Exploration Missions Unit: Plans and executes scientific research and exploration activities on the lunar surface, supporting R&D astronauts.
