This initiative, part of Harris’s selected priorities, was announced at the Johnson Space Center in Houston on September 9, 2021.

Eric worked closely with Elaine Ho, a former NASA and Air Force professional, on the program. The initiative also had regional implementations, with Boeing leading on the Gulf Coast and Northrop Grumman on the West Coast. Eric represented Blue Origin, which was teamed with Lockheed Martin on the initiative at the space Coast.
